Red half-moons

Nothing too exciting this time, sadly.. just another half-moon mani! I liked the last one a lot so I wanted to try another color. I used Barielle's Elle's Spell this time, and added Essie's Matte About You to make a little different. Not sure if I'll keep it matte or just go back to glossy. Anyway.. I don't use red a lot, but the outfit I'm wearing tomorrow is all black/ivory, so I wanted a pop of color to go with my red lipstick. I feel like this style of mani is going to be my go-to when I'm not feeling inspired, since it's so simple to do.

Embellished half-moons

Hey guys! I was bored so I tried something simple to attempt and get back in the nail art swing. Just some half-moons with a little rhinestone/pearl accent bling. I used Nicole by OPI's My Lifesaver and Sinful Colors Black on Black. It was really easy.. I just laid down My Lifesaver, waited for it to dry, then used those hole reinforcer sticker thingies to block out the moons and laid the black over that.

I'm not entirely sure if I like 'em, since I was never crazy about the half-moon trend, but I figured I might as well give a shot, y'know?

See you guys next time, have a nice weekend! :)

Sally Hansen Fuchsia Shock crackle

Hello everyone! No art, once again.. sigh. I was feeling quite sick this past week and I've been very stressed out, so I've only been doing plain polish, when I've been doing anything at all. The other day, however, I did pick up one of the Sally Hansen crackles I saw at Target!

This is one coat of Fuchsia Shock over Sally Hansen Lightening, with topcoat. I haven't used many crackles, but I really do like this one. The formula was nice and thin, as opposed to the China Glaze crackle I have, which is thick and goopy. I applied one coat over completely dry Lightening and it cracked very nicely and quickly. I really like this color combo. I think the colored crackles appeal to me more than the black/white/metallics, because I like trying bright color combos.. they remind me of the 80's, LOL. I did a pedi on my mother using Fuchsia Shock over Nicole by OPI's My Lifesaver and it looks really bright and fun, too.

I know most people are crackled out, but they've been impossible to get around here so I'm pretty slow on trends, haha. I think I'll be adding a few more of the colored crackles to my collection for those lazy mani days! ;)

I'd also like to say hello and thank you to all my new followers! You guys are wonderful, thank you for all the kind comments! <3
