Pretty lacy half-moons.. also, I'm alive!

Hey! Once again, I'm alive, and sorry for not posting.. life kind of.. got in the way. You know how it goes, I'm sure. I went through a pretty bad nail art rut, sadly. But I'm back! Well, trying to come back, at least.

This was just a little half moon/glittery mani I did a while back. These colors actually go quite well together, I wasn't sure at first, but they grew on me. The glitter never photographs well, but it's very sparkly and eye-catching irl.

White on black lace tips

Hey guys! Simple junk. My nails broke right before I had to go to a wedding last saturday, so I went ahead and put acrylics on myself. Not a fan of acrylics, but they did the job and I thought they looked pretty nice. These are black tips with white lace inlaid in the acrylic. A little subtle for me. I loved the shape.. though I couldn't do anything since they were so long, haha.

Ugh.. I got in a terrible accident on thursday, the day after I put these on. It was really, really bad.. lucky I'm alive bad. I have some nasty bruises, bad back problem, and of course, I hurt my hand. It's getting better, but it hurts if I use too much pressure so I can't grasp things properly. It's been rough since I can't do nails, which, you know.. main source of income. It's been getting better, so hopefully by the end of this week I'll be able to work properly again. You never really appreciate your thumb until you can't use it, you know..

Lace nails

Based on this lovely design. I know I've done lace before, but they're kind of my fallback for when I need something nice. I'm going to some fancy party this weekend and thought they'd go well with my dress since I'm wearing all black. I used Sinful Colors Black on Black, and Nicole by OPI's My Lifesaver. Nothing much else to say about these!

I love lace!

I've been sooo into black lace lately.. I blame the sexy new black lace tights I got. I've always loved lace nails, and I've done them before(they didn't turn out that great), so I decided to give them another shot! I used Nicole by OPI's My Lifesaver as a base, and black acrylic paint for the lace details. I took the lace pattern on my left hand from a japanese nail magazine and just kinda winged the right hand. I really like how these turned out.. now I just gotta put together a cute outfit to go with them! I wish it wasn't so cold out lately, it's totally limiting my options, ugh.

Lace nails

I've always wanted to do lace appliques on my nails, but I never have lace! I improvised by using a black mesh, glueing it on, and detailing lacey kinda patterns over it. I threw on some rhinestones to make it shiny for the holidays. I'm not totally pleased, but it's alright I guess. :)

On a sad note, I tore my poor pointer finger nail almost in half.. I managed to patch it ghetto style, because I didn't want short nails for thanksgiving. :( Bah! Stupid nails. You're more trouble than you're worth sometimes. But yeah.. that's why my nail might look wonky in pictures, sorry.
