Nightmare Before Christmas nails!

Happy Halloween, everyone! I didn't really celebrate(aside from eating all out candy), but I felt like doing my nails anyway.. I've been rally into black and white lately. And I love Mr. Skellington, so I figured hey, why not? I really like how Jack turned out. <3 p="p">

It'sssss showtime!

Hey guys! Happy early halloween!

Beetlejuice is one of my favorite halloweeny movies, so I decided to give these a shot. I like how the stripes turned out, the sandworm is okay.. don't like the carousal hat nail. Oh well! And yes, these are obviously on fake nails.. I have itty bitty nubs right now because I broke some nails. :( So sad.

I don't have a picture, but the sandworm nail? I used neon acrylic paint and it looks amazing under blacklight.

Loki, starry night, bloody claws.. bunch of different designs!

Hey guys! Bunch of different stuff today. This is all stuff I had in my files I never posted for various reasons.. didn't photograph well, errors on the nail/paint job, etc. You can tell there's flaws, but I still like the designs, so I decided to throw them into one post.

I may wear those claws for halloween.. dunno yet! I really wish those Loki nails hadn't bubbled, either.. they were so pretty. :(

Livin' La Vida Loki Giveaway!

Hello, everyone! I’ve finally put together a giveaway.. took me long enough, yeah?
I’ve had so much support, love, and encouragement over the years from the people who follow my nail art blog, and I’ve made so many friends as well. This is just my little thank you. I went with a Loki(The Avengers, Thor) theme, because my original Loki nails went over quite well recently.  These are a scaled down, more simplified design.
There will be two winners for this giveaway!
  • First Prize: Set of Loki inspired nails, along with a Loki inspired nail polish pendant!
  • Second Prize: Two Loki  inspired nail polish pendants!
Rules:
  • You have to be a follower of my nail blog, Through the Wormhole. New followers are more than welcome to enter.
  • US residents only. Sorry!
  • You must fill out the form on the giveaway blog post for entries to count.
The giveaway will end on July 21st, and I’ll use a random number generator to pick the winners, who shall be contacted via email. I think that covers it.. good luck to everyone(if anyone) that enters, and as always, thank you for your support!
Please fill out the form below to enter. Following me is required and one entry. Following my facebook page or sharing the giveaway on your own blog or tumblr counts as an entry each.

Edit: Giveaway closed! Winners will be chosen Sunday evening!

Thor inspired nails

As usual, my title is pretty self-explanatory..  these were inspired by Thor, and pair up with my previous Loki nails. I'm going to do each Avenger, I think. Again, done on fake nails which is why they look kinda weird. I'm not.. extremely happy with them, but they'll do. Might add something to the chain.. not sure yet. My mom really liked them and wants a scaled down version on her nails, haha.

Alright, that's it for now.. later guys.

The Avengers/Loki inspired nails..

Hey guys.. I saw The Avengers and just couldn't help myself. I loved Thor when I saw that(mainly Loki), and the Avengers just.. omg. So good. SO GOOD. I just want to hold Loki and cuddle his evil and identity issues away.

I did these on some fakies since my nails were too short for what I was picturing. I'm really sorry the pictures are so bad, they look a LOT better in person. Oh well.. who cares, it involves Loki, haha.

Okay, I'm done. I swear.

I fight for the users.

I've always enjoyed TRON, and I finally got around to seeing TRON:Legacy tonight. What it lacked for in plot, it made up with insane graphics and quite possibly the best soundtrack EVER. Seriously, it was awesome. Screw what the critics say. I love mindless, pretty entertainment. That being said, I got inspired and threw these together pretty quick when I got home. They're pretty messy, but I need to invest in a new brush, mine's kinda beat.. anyway, I thought they were kinda neat. I went over the blue/orange with glow in the dark polish, so they glow too!

Yeah, I'm a geek. Y'all should know this by now.

Harry Potter

I was feeling quite nostalgic, and these were the result. I used to love Harry Potter, and while I still like it, I'm not a huge fan like I was when I was younger. These were kind of a trial and error thing. I REALLY need new brushes, my current ones are falling apart and it makes it harder to get smooth lines and shapes. Anyway.. I wasn't entirely happy with these so I took them off right away. I did like the snitch, though.

For the record, I'm totally a Slytherin.

As the world falls down..

My favorite movie of all time is, hands down, Labyrinth. David Bowie's package in tighty-tights and overabundant glitter? Come on, who doesn't love this movie. I tried to do some Labyrinth-inspired nails, and this was the result. I was overall pretty happy with them, except the peach/crystal ball nail. My favorite is the owl/feather one. When I was done, I thought they needed a little something, so I dug around and found some leftover jewels from when I did my nails for prom in like.. 2005. I tossed them on since I they reminded my of Jareth's crystal balls, and surprisingly, they stayed on for like a week and didn't chip.

To boldy go..

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a huge Trekkie. I adore Star Trek in all forms. I even have a uniform, that is how much I love Star Trek. When it occured to me I hadn't thought to do Trek nails, I immediately got on with this. I love these nails, I don't give a damn what anyone says. I'd like to do another set with the rank stripes sometime in the future.

How To Train Your Dragon!

It's no secret that I love kid movies. And dragons. And fantasy in general. These nails were begging to be done after I saw the movie. I kept it pretty simple because I was feeling pretty lazy(what else is new?). I only did two of Toothless, then some random swirly viking-y designs. I used a little glitter to try and give Toothless a scaly appearance, but if I did this again, I'd probably skip it.
