Turquoise stone nails
Hello! Have some pretty, shiny turquoise nails for you this week.. I saw someone do these on tumblr with the water-spotted method, which I tried, and wasn't a huge fan of on its own. I ended up going back and reworking the black veins by hand with polish and acetone to get the look I wanted. I might do a tutorial since people have been asking about it on tumblr, we'll see if my camera cooperates or not..
Anyway! I love these. LOVE. My old as hell camera does them no justice at all, they seriously look like real turquoise irl.

Beware the kraken!

I love tentacled creatures.. octopi, squid, sea monsters, they're all so neat. I've been wanting to do a tentacle mani and finally got around to it. I used Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe as my base and I'm so happy I did.. it looks very seawater-y, doesn't it? I like it. And since I'm on a glow kick, the tentacles glow in the dark too! I wish I could get a picture of it, but it never turns out when I try.
I really, really want to try doing a 3d version of this someday.. I think it'd look so cool. Anyway, that's all for me tonight! :)

Lazy sunflowers

Sorry for the long absence, guys! I haven't been feeling very creative lately, plus I had other things to worry about in my life.. plus I kept breaking nails, ugh!
Anyway.. with the weather getting a little nicer, I've been feeling spring-y, and wanted something bright and simple. I love sunflowers, so I figured hey, why not! They didn't really turn out too great, but I'm giving myself a pass this time since I haven't done any nail art in a while. Besides, I like the color combo. I used For Audrey as the base, then acrylics for the art, since my yellow polishes weren't opaque enough.
Anyway.. I also wanted to say hi to my new followers, and thanks for following! You guys are awesome. :)

Monarch mani

Self-explanatory once again.. ha. Everyone and their mum does monarch manis, but I still like them. Wanted something nice and bright to offset the icky weather we've been having. I'm not totally satisfied, as usual, but it does satisfy my craving for bright spring nails.

Koi nails

I love koi.. I used to have a whole tank full of them. They're so beautiful. I've been wanting to try koi nails, but as you can see, they turned out pretty bad. Ugh. I'll definitely have to try again. I was going to take them off, but I have to run errands tomorrow, and I'm too lazy to redo them. I've been feeling pretty crappy, which I should've taken as a sign.. oh well. You win some, you lose some, right?
I also wanted to thank the people that tagged me for the blog award.. I'll get around to it when I feel better, promise! :)
I will now leave you with this painting I did, that looks far better than my icky nails.

Viva vacation

My aunt is going on a secret vacation for her birthday, so I did her nails as a present. She wanted something bright and kinda beachy. She had to pick someone up from the airport, so I didn't do serious designs on every nail because it would've taken too long. I like the sunsets I did, I wasn't sure how to do them, but I think they turned out pretty nice. I also gave her a pedi with pink and blue that turned out really cute. I hope she has fun on her trip! :)
